the police arrest nick , dale and kurt , but the navigation @ - @ system operator , gregory , reveals that it is his companies policy to record all conversations for quality assurance . gregory plays the tape that has < un ##k > confess ##ing he murdered < un ##k > . < un ##k > is sentenced to 25 years to life in prison , while the friends get their charges waived . nick is promoted to president of the company under a sad ##istic ceo , kurt retains his job under a new boss , and dale blackmail ##s julia into ending her harassment by convincing her to sexually hara ##ss a supposedly unconscious patient , while jones secretly records the act .

the production continues , and after the filming of a pool scene the crew gather in catering bee ##man discovers a severed finger in his sandwich , recognizing from its ring that it belonged to < un ##k > . when the sheriff shut ##s down production , black theo ##rize ##s that the killer may target the crew ' s hotel he and hollis arrive to find the body of the film ' s public ##ist hanging from a rope . the next day , a film extra ( gene simmons ) confesses to the killings black poke ##s holes in his story and discovers he is not a credible per ##pet ##rator . regardless , production is resumed — and shortly afterwards , several crew members are found with their throat ##s cut , while winston ' s body hangs nearby in an apparent murder @ - @ suicide .
